The Almudena Cathedral, inaugurated in 1993 and consecrated by Pope John Paul II, is one of Madrid's most iconic buildings. Located opposite the Royal Palace, it was built on the site of a medieval church, which in turn had its origins in a legend linked to the Virgin of Almudena, the patron saint of the city. Dysegna was entrusted with the comprehensive signage of the temple, a project that covered both the interior and exterior areas. Signage solutions were integrated, adapted to the grandeur of the cathedral, preserving its historic character while improving the flow of the thousands of visitors who come each year. From the main areas to the access zones, each element was designed with materials that complemented the cathedral's unique architecture.Dysegna's intervention not only facilitated orientation within the space but also helped preserve the spiritual and cultural essence of the site, respecting its rich history and its importance to the city.
